For those of you who wonder, yes I am crazy. Rusty and I both work full time jobs and own 5 rental properties we manage ourselves. September of 2010 knowing I was having triplets I opened a business with a friend. Now we have all this plus our children. Just in case you were wondering I have no plans on changing any of it!!!!

Awesome Friends!

Any of you who know me know that I often get irritated at peoples inability to open their eyes  before their mouth. I am constantly asked, "are those triplets?", "Oh wow you have 3 boys??", "How old are your kids?" answer: 11 months... "How old are the others?" Seriously!!!! What I would love to tell most of these people is no they are not triplets, yes they are 3 boys, and they are 6 months, 8 months, and 10 months just to see what they would do. I am constantly getting grief from my mom who tells me that I need to see it from their perspective and triplets are so rare they are just trying to see them and make conversations. I am just not one to be the center of attention and I would rather just agree with them and move on instead of correcting them and having to answer more questions and explain everything. I just don't feel like it is any of their business if they don't know me. When I go out with  one baby I don't get bombarded by every person I see so why should I have to just because I have 3 babies instead of one. They were born early and have been through things most babies never go through. However, they are babies. They learn just like everyone else, they play like everyone else, and they play. They are really no different then any other child except for the fact that there are 3. I guess I need to spend more time in prayer for the lord to give me patience and understanding.
So with all that explaination given I am so glad to have a great friend in Katie Blandford! We met in the NICU. She was already the mother of 4 great girls and was in the NICU with 2 beautiful miracle boys. We are the same age, and both mothers of multiples. The bond of multiple moms, especially those who go through it together, is something very special. It is so nice to take my kids by her house and be to talk and let them play without having to have all the extra attention. It is time when I can visit and be "out of the house" but the kids can just be kids without people gawking at them and hounding me! I love our conversations because nobody understands all the challenges I face but the person who is going through it with me. She not only understands the medical issues and scares we have been through she also understands the daily challenges that a mother of preemie multiples faces including those above. So I guess I will continue to use my blog as my venting page and use my friends and family to help me be more understanding and patient with other people who are just curious. (or nosey!!!)

Ryan: New weight in on Ryan today was .... 20 lbs! What a chunk! He eats everything in sight so it is no wonder he is growing like crazy.
Tyler: Now 16 lbs 5 oz as of last week.
Emily: Was 17 lbs a couple of weeks ago.

All the kids have graduated to their big boy(girl) car seats now and loved being able to see out the windows on our way to Springfield today. I have also got some individual strollers and we are able to put them in those on short trips instead of fighting the triple stroller. It will be great for zoo's, SDC, Walks, and anything we will be walking a lot but the smaller individual ones are better for short trips. They are all eating better and are like little birds when it is time for us to eat. They all like up and are begging for food from our plates. My dad and Rusty were being hounded by the birds during dinner on Saturday night so they decided to take their rice puffs and lay a bunch out on their play mat. It was so funny! They looked like vultures! It did buy the guys abbout 5 minutes of eating in peace so I guess it was successful! We had pictures taken on Saturday for Christmas and their 1st birthday. Hopefully I will be able to post them on here when I get them back.
