Just a quick update today.
Ryan: 2lb 11oz. He is up to his full feedings and being fortified with extra calories. He is off all of his IV fluids currently. He is still on his nasal cannula oxygen but on very low levels. He loves his pacifier! We have him suck on it while he is getting his tube feedings and hope he associates the sucking with the fullness in his tummy.
Emily: 2lb 15oz. One more ounce and she will be the big 3 pounds! She will be to her full feeding and off of her IV fluids tomorrow afternoon if she has no problems between now and then. She remains off all oxygen. She also uses her pacifier while she gets her feedings but is not as fond of it as Ryan is.
Tyler: 2lb 4oz. He is starting to look like such a big boy! Well as big as a preemie can look. He has been off of his CPAP and on nasal cannula since 8am yesterday and seems to be doing well. He has had a few "events" where his heart rate and oxygen levels drop but has fixed it himself within a few seconds without the nurse having to do anything. As long as he does not have numerous events and he is able to fix it himself quickly he will be able to stay on his nasal cannula. Keep those prayers going! He will be up to his full feeding and off his IV fluids tomorrow as well. He does use a pacifier but has just started and is just beginning get the hang of it.
