For those of you who wonder, yes I am crazy. Rusty and I both work full time jobs and own 5 rental properties we manage ourselves. September of 2010 knowing I was having triplets I opened a business with a friend. Now we have all this plus our children. Just in case you were wondering I have no plans on changing any of it!!!!

A Day in the Life of Triplets

First off let me update my weights. I was completely shocked when I weighed them yesterday. Tyler was 14 lbs, Emily 15 lbs, and Ryan 16 lbs. WOW!

0700 - Babies probably starting to stir by now if they haven't already. (hoping Rusty gets up if he hasn't)
0730 - I'm up! Getting a baby out of bed. Usually the 2nd one to wake up.
0735 - Changing and feeding said baby cereal with fruit and then a bottle.
0750 - Getting next (and last) baby changed and fed.
0815 - All babies on the floor playing with toys, each other, me, the dog, the carpet etc.
0845 - First baby starting to get very tired now. May be crying at this point depending on who was first.
0900 - first baby probably asleep or close and 2nd baby is tired now.
0915 - 2nd bay asleep and 3rd as well or at least close.
0930 - Everyone is usually asleep, too bad that the first baby is due to eat at 1000!
0931 - Now have 29 minutes (If I am lucky) to eat breakfast, clean something, nap or whatever!
0950 - Warming bottle for first baby who is probably waking up about now and crying because they are
            starving!
1000 - Changing and feeding 1st child again. This time is a bottle only, no food.
1030 - Feeding second baby.
1050 - Feeding third baby.
1100 - Back to the floor for more work time. Time to practice crawling, sitting up, etc. If they get fussy it is
to the Johnny jump up or the exersaucer for something different. We love to fight over toys and roll
on each other. It is all fun until somebody rolls on, or touches Emily then the screaming starts. I can
already hear, "mom! He is touching me!!!"
1200 - Time to figure out what my mom and I are having for lunch. If we don't pick quick we won't be
            getting it for a while.
1230 - Hopefully eating lunch. Usually in the floor while entertaining kids or at the table with a baby on my
            knee.
1300 - Once again changing and feeding 1st baby. This time they get a dinner or veggie and their bottle.
1320 - Feeding second child. May be a little early but they are tired and starving.
1340 - Feeding third baby if my mom hasn't already had to because of the screaming.
1400 - Maybe on the floor again. Everybody is ready for another nap. (Including the adults)
1415 - Hopefully asleep!
1500 - Guaranteed somebody is probably awake already! Playtime again. Usually need more entertainment
by this time of day. Good time for bright, flashy, musical toys to keep us occupied.
1600 - Feeding first baby again. Bottle only this time.
1615 - Feeding second baby.
1630 - Feeding third baby.
1645 - All are back to the floor to play. Daddy will be home soon.
1700 - Daddy should be home now. They are all excited to see Daddy! Now it is his turn to stay in the floor
and play while we figure out dinner.
1715 - Evening fussing has started by now. Welcome home daddy! They are all tired and cranky. Can't wait
for our last food and at last, bedtime. They all three take major interaction by this late and are only
quiet if they are at a new place or if they get something new or super exciting to look at.
1830 - Probably eating dinner by now with a baby on your knee. The fun part about them being older is
trying to keep them out of your plate!
1845 - Feeding first baby a fruit and bottle so they can go to bed and be put out of their misery!
1850 - Daddy feeding baby number 2 while baby 3 is in the floor, swing, or other contraption crying because
someone else is eating and not them.
1900 - Last baby being fed. Other 2 are already in bed.
1915 - Last baby in bed. If Emily was first we have already been upstairs twice to get her back to sleep.
1930 - If Emily was last she is crying now. Up to pat her back and hope we get there before she gets so
worked up we have to get her out of bed and rock her to keep her from waking up the boys.
1945 - All are sleeping and we are hoping that Emily is finally down for the night.
2000 - Eating the rest of dinner if it didn't get finished earlier or just sitting down to eat in the first place.
Maybe getting to watch a little TV.
2100 - Rusty is going to bed now.
2110 - Shelly is picking up any trash that Rusty left laying on the end table then washing bottles, making
formula, making cereal for breakfast and finishing laundry or anything I started at some point during
the day that never got finished.
2145 - MY TIME!!!!! Good thing I am a night owl. This is when I check my email, facebook, pay bills,
check online banking etc. Computer time while watching TV (still multi-tasking even this late)
2200 - Emails probably done and answered.
2230 - Caught up on facebook and ready to fall asleep.
2300 - By now I am stuck on what ever show I am watching and hopefully it is over now. If not I will have
stay up and finish it. If it is over I am off to bed.
2310 - If in bed I am suddenly not tired anymore. Go figure. So I will sit on the side of the bed and read by
cell phone light or play solitaire on my phone.
0000 - Hopefully I am finally ready to lay my head to sleep. If I stayed up to watch a show my awakeness is
just hitting since I am just going to bed.
0030 - I have either been asleep for 30 minutes or am finally laying down to sleep. Better hurry I have to
start all over in six and a half hours or seven hours!

Hope this is fun for you. Just remember that this is a day at home and my mom or Rusty is here to help me. I also go in to work at the dog daycare in the late afternoon. I always leave for work by 1600 so then it is left to my mom and dad or Rusty and his mom or sisters. His mom and sisters come when I am teaching evening dog classes. This day does not include doctors appointments or therapy visits. Those add a whole new dimension to our day.
