Everyone is home at last!

I officially have 3 happy, healthy, NICU graduates in my care!!! I am so glad that they are all home.

Ryan: He came home a week ago and promptly gained 1 pound in 1 week. At his last appointment he weighed 6lb 14oz. The doctor wanted to change his additives that we put in his milk so he doesn't gain so fast but we had to wait until after our visit with the speech therapist today. The speech therapist evaluates how they eat to determine what nipples to use and if their formula needs any thickeners added or if they have special eating needs. She felt he was doing very well and he can switch to the bottle of our choice when we return home and drink whatever milk and fortifier the doctor suggests for his weight. He is definatly still my calm laid back baby. He is rarely upset about anything. He is super cute, I think he looks just like daddy!!!

Tyler: He came home yesterday and we had a long night! He has had a hard time adjusting to all of the different noises and lighting. He spent most of the night crying. He did have hernia surgery before he was released from the hospital so we did give him some tylenol to see if it was pain related. He did get a little more sleepy and rested a little but I am not sure that pain was the big issue. He has slept more today so hopefully tonight will be better. When he was released he weighed 5lb 6oz. He is getting to be such a big boy. He has come so far from where he started and I am so proud of him!

Emily: Sweet little Emily has been home for 4 weeks already, WOW! She has pretty bad reflux and spits up a lot. She also has her moments when she is super fussy. We are adjusting everything to cater to her it seems. She sure is beautiful thought. Her last weight was 5lb 14oz so just between Tyler and Ryan.
