For those of you who wonder, yes I am crazy. Rusty and I both work full time jobs and own 5 rental properties we manage ourselves. September of 2010 knowing I was having triplets I opened a business with a friend. Now we have all this plus our children. Just in case you were wondering I have no plans on changing any of it!!!!

12/10/10 2 days old!

Today has been a great day. The doctor talked to us this morning and seemed very optimistic. All babies have successfully gotten off of their insulin drips and their sugars are much better now. Emily and Ryan have been taken successfully off of the ventilator and placed on a CPAP mask. They are both tolerating this well so far and are having no trouble breathing. Tyler tried out the CPAP mask but decided he wasn't quite ready to breath without the extra ventilator help yet so he is currently back on the vent and we will try again later. Ryan's blood pressure is much better. His kidneys are working and he is making urine like crazy now which was of some concern in the first couple of days. He is still very puffy looking from the extra fluid he has not gotten rid of yet but it is improving each time we see him. All babies were scheduled to have a scan of their head taken tomorrow which is routine to check for any bleeding in the brain. Emily had hers today because the bones in her skull were slightly farther apart then they should be. They saw no other signs of bleeding but did not want to put off the scan another day just in case. They did call us this afternoon and her scan was totally normal. Ryan and Tyler will get their scans tomorrow as originally planned so we should have results by tomorrow night. Pray hard that they find nothing out of the ordinary. They are all so cute ( I know this is from their mother but their grandparents thought so too!) The nurses have told us that Ryan looks a lot like Rusty. I think they all look very much alike so I guess we may have 3 Rusty's, Oh NO! I am in trouble! The plan so far is that I will be discharged on Sunday but don't have to leave my room until midnight. I will probably stay until I can tuck the little ones in for the night then go to my apartment where I will stay until they are all able to come home with us. My apartment address for anyone needing it is 2029 S. National Ave. Apt. #3   Springfield Mo. 65804. The apartment complex is called LaLa lee apartments. Mine is the first building on the right, once you park and walk up to the first set of doors mine is on the left, directly across from the office. I will have my cell phone after discharge and can take it into the NICU but must keep it on vibrate so I may not always be aware of incoming calls or texts. I will check it periodically so please be patient. Hope all of you are well and enjoying your Christmas preparations. I thank God for all of you everyday and cannot believe how far the power of prayer has brought us so far. I know we could not have done it without God and each and everyone of you. May the Lord bless you all this Christmas Season and all year long!
