Happy Birthday babies!

Ryan and Tyler were born at 2:23 and Emily was born at 2:24. Ryan weighed 2lbs 4oz and was 14.66 inches long and was born crying. Tyler was 1lb 13oz and 12.25 inches long and was intubated almost immediately. Emily was 2lb. 5oz. and was 14 inches long born crying. All babies have since been intubated. Emily is breathing with the help of the ventilator but is not requiring oxygen. They did not tell me what Tyler's setting were at but he is using oxygen. Ryan had some difficulty breathing and was given an extra medication that the others did not recieve and has since been dropped from 50% oxygen down to 29%. They anticipate that all of them will be off of the ventilators by tomorrow and breathing with the help of CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) that will help keep their airways open. So far there are no other complications and all are doing better than I anticipated. They are however, quick to remind us that things change quickly in little ones and we have to take everything day by day. There are no guarantees. I am doing well and am still on IV pain medications. I have tolerated my dinner and will be resting for a while then probably go see the babies again later so I can get up for a while. I have not had any complications so far.
